DECOR: Decoupage Easter Eggs

Pretty decoupaged eggs in a basket

Welcome the arrival of the Easter bunny with this basket of "egg-citement"!   Using blown out eggs or plastic eggs, you can easily create a truly stunning Easter display.  All you need is some ordinary white glue and some pretty paper napkins or tissue paper.  Choose colors and patterns that reflect the holiday - a combination of Easter pastels, florals, bunnies, or eggs.

A stunning yet easy-to-create Easter table display

Cut the napkins or tissue paper into neat strips and then paste them over the surface of the eggs.  If you would prefer a more vintage Easter look, you could use strips of old book pages, tin foil, or music sheet papers instead and finish by tying the eggs with raffia.

Allow the glue sufficient time to dry and then place the eggs in a simple basket filled with Easter grass made of shredded pink, blue, or green paper.  You could also place them in a bed of pretty tissue paper for added texture and color. This do-it-yourself project literally takes just minutes and the best part is that you can get the kids involved - they love decorating Easter eggs!
